The pacing of each chapter is kinda slow idk I feel even tho the story is not that slow but it feels like 1 chapter is being cut to 3 chapters like the ending of each chapter feel slightly off
I never read the novel but this's my Hypothesis I think the mastermind of his transformation was the hero and also in their last moment in previous life he asked how did mc have the item so I think he actually used the item before Mc in a previous life and then he became good n the Mc became villain I was also more convinced when at the temple he said everything changed so yeah this's my Hypothesis
