i mean no, cause like no one forced him to have a kid with a highschooler, and thinking he can just remove Shuga from his own kid's life is not the selfless decision.

Oto should actually put in extra work to make sure Shuga can be the involved parent he wants to be, while also being able to work on his career. If he has to do more of the parenting until Shuga has a job then that's the works, because he is the one that chose to have a highschooler's child.
Choosing to cut shuga off from akane is cruel, he isn't even giving him the chance to be a proper father to his own child.

People are acting like Oto is being selfless when he's being absolutely selfish and not even considering how devastated shuga will be with his so called "right choice".

Nobody forced him and abortion was an option, but I can imagine him choosing to keep it because he was considered a "defective" omega.

Coparenting exists and Shuga can still be a parent without them being together. Again, that's an 18 year old with a promising future who can still meet several other people. Not wanting to burden him and ruin his future is valid

But you're forgetting 3 things. 1 they broke up before he realized he was pregnant and 2. That Shuga is from a rich family. 3. Their relationship was supposed to be a "casual" fling.

You're telling me he should go back to his rich ex and say "Yup, we broke up but I /just/ realized I'm pregnant. Oh, but I'm definitely not trying to trap you into a relationship...?" I'm not saying Oto's decision wasn't selfish but he was also worried Shuga's family was going to take his kid away. Basically, it's not as easy as people are making it seem. Co parenting with a power balance as big as that doesn't make it easy especially when Oto was raised to be pushed around and feel small.

Shuga also only confessed RECENTLY, only after they broke up and knew of Akane. During their ENTIRE relationship, it was never established to be a serious relationship, even Shuga said it was simply a "bug repellant" kinda thing, and Oto very much understood that and kept him at arms length due to this. Why would he rely on him to raise a child HE chose to birth when they didn't even plan on it and for all he knows, the child could be rejected (since Shuga didn't even plan to be mates with him INITIALLY) or taken away from him? It was selfish, but you can't blame him for doing what he did given the circumstances he was in... also fuck Oto's family, they're pieces of shiet for making him so insecure of himself

My point isnt abt the past, its abt this decision he wants to make rn. Sure yea it made sense before Shuga became part of the equation again and has already made his choice to be an involved father

By that logic, why is he expecting the fiancé's family to NOT take Akane away from him? How is he not realizing that the chance of that happening is even bigger than with Shuga, considering how the fiancé's family/Oto's own family have already shown how little they care about respecting his boundaries? They treated Oto like a "tool to be used" when he was a child, which made him run away in the first place; why would he ever think they would respect him as a parent to Akane if he marries into that dynamic again, regardless of whether Akane turns out to be a dom or a sub?

Oto refusing Shuga but considering his old fiancé's suggestion makes no sense, and it's so frustrating to watch him completely refuse one biological parent's wishes. Like, at the end of the day, Akane is also Shuga's child, but Oto has decided that no, actually, Shuga has no right to want to be involved in Akane's life, nope, Oto can instead decide to assign a new father to his child, ahaha, that's just fine, isn't it?
