Can someone please explain to me why every damn time, when I finally find something that really engages me, it's either dropped by the author, dropped by the people uploading/translating it, or it's very slowly updated, like maybe it's dropped and then picked up again but after, like, 3 years? (Edit: Not to mention those that aren't translated at all...)
No, seriously, this is literally the story of my life. And now I'm wondering, with all the mediocre stories out there that are updated regularly, why is it always the best ones that end up like this? Is it a curse? A conspiracy? Just why does the universe keep doing this to me???
(Edit 2: I just wanted to clarify that I'm not swearing at anyone, I hope you don't get me the wrong way, of course I'm really grateful to anyone who works behind a manga! It was just a vent for myself because often these things happen to me )
I'm sorry but as things are now there's no way I can find even a single reason to justify Haebom... It doesn't seem like he's being held against his will or he's got amnesia, and what he's been doing to Taesung is simply cruel! It doesn't matter what the grandfather may have told him, you can't suddenly disappear for months without a trace, leaving your partner in total despair, and you just go on with your life pretending nothing happened, knowing your lover is surely suffering a lot over your disappearance because he doesn't even know if you're dead or alive... Just imagine if this happened to you, that's just pure nightmare!
And when he found him, because he rightfully looked for him, he even seemed kinda annoyed and tried to run away... Seriously?? Whatever the reason, Taesung DESERVED to know!
To be honest, I never liked Haebom's character, now I feel like I can finally say it. And more generally, I don't like characters like him, the pushover type, you know... Because to me reading stories with this kind of characters is just frustrating and irritating... I actually stopped reading in the university arc and now I'm here out of curiosity since it's back after all this time, but all that just confirmed the opinion I already had.
It's always funny to me when in real life a story has been going on for many years but within the story time is not supposed to pass for the characters, and still temporal inaccuracies occur! Like this manga that has been going on for 18 years, and I realized that in the very first chapters they have flip phones typical of the 2000s while in the more recent chapters they have today's smartphones, but in their universe only a year or two has passed since the story began
I guess that's just something inevitable with this kind of stories that go on for years and years because I understand that these authors are not interested in setting the story in a specific period or specific years but always in the present, so this kind of details become irrelevant, I'm aware of that, but this thing somehow always messes with my head because it's like time passes and doesn't pass at the same time
Thank you so much Makinya-san for your hard work, I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate what you're doing!!! I've been following this story since the summer of 2023 when a scan group posted the first 4 chapters of the first manga and I had completely lost hope, and now you've personally translated and uploaded what was left of the main story and the sequel as well in just a couple of months, you're a true hero!!!
I understand that Aimi always stated his conditions and the girls accepted, but what I don't understand is why would you even agree to be in a relationship in the first place if you intend to do everything behind your partner's back and you don't want them to ask you anything about your life? Wouldn't it be more honest to just say "I'm only interested in casual s3x, so if you have feelings for me just forget it because I'm never going to reciprocate and you'll just get hurt".
The girls are certainly to blame for accepting the situation, but since they were in love with him I can understand why they did it... But he accepted the girls even though he was perfectly aware of their feelings, so I'm just wondering why would you even put yourself in a situation like that, what's the point? You're literally screaming for trouble and you're not even being fair...
Yeah same thoughts here. I also heard from my cousin who's a half Japanese, that other people there, men or women, would rather be with this kind of relationship, than be labeled as someone who's into one night stand. People who's into one night stand doesn't view well over there, so they will rather be in a relationship and do that and change partner and so on.
Chapter 39 when Caesar finds out that Mikhail is Leewon's father and they have a confrontation will forever piss me off!!! I mean, was it too hard to say that he also didn't know he was his son until a few days before? Why would you leave out something so important and reply something completely misleading like "You're the one who approached me first / I didn't mean to hide it from you / I just didn't have the chance to tell you", when you could've cleared everything up right away?
I love Leewon but c'mon, seriously? That just didn't make any sense, it's just like you deliberately want to make the situation worse!
Every author is free to do whatever they want with their story and their work of course, but Imo the basic concept of this manhwa is just plain wrong... I mean, I could understand if it were like a psychological thriller/horror but it's meant to be a romantic drama, isn't it? With the MCs end up falling in love and everything I guess... Now my point is, how can anyone genuinely fall in love with the person who sl@ughtered their beloved family? And even if this happens (and there's no way that could ever be true love) how can I, as a reader, enjoy such a development? I had to drop this manhwa just for this reason because I really can't process this plot and I don't even know if something worse has happened, but every now and then I come across it and just seeing the cover gives me trauma. Now excuse me for this random rant but seriously, how can anyone even conceive a ROMANCE with these premises??
Aside from that dragon power thing, I could actually think of a reason why his human body would be "destroyed" if they were to copulate...
I'm just kidding I love them, but I know I can't be the only one who had this thought when they had that conversation in chapter 1 please Ignat is literally 3 times his size... in his human form
I genuinely wonder why this manga is only rated 9.0? I mean, by the standards of this site it's not much... Imo the plot is quite original and totally intriguing, the characters are enigmatic and interesting, and the art is beautiful... I think it's a shame because I've seen manga with the most trivial and predictable clichés and characters rated 9.4/5/6, maybe because they're all cuteness and fluff but damn, are they boring
I noticed this in the context of yaoi, unfortunately I think there's a tendency to rate something lower just because the story has dark elements, heavier themes or the characters are not the classic "ideal" type...
Well but I don't think that's a reason to rate a work negatively, that's something that doesn't concern the story itself... I mean, it's not the manga's fault if whoever was posting/translating it in english suddenly dropped it... Besides, there are several manga that were dropped after a few chapters and have a high rating! I think it could be for the reasons I mentioned at the end of my first comment...

Pleeease this is just so funny because a few chapters ago the story literally ended with them happily married and going on their honeymoon and now they're like: "what you did was r@pe" - "then report me" - "I don't even care if you're seeing a woman, I'm here just to be your doormat"
