man i rly wanted to keep reading this but since i realized the mangaka is a bit classes themself it put a bad taste in my mouth. its pretty ridiculous how someone who made a manga LITERALLY ABOUT CLASSISM is shaming people for pirating manga... yeah ok dude -_-
uh no bc the people pirating do it bc they can't afford to pay for the content. artists aren't losing money at all bc those pirating would not be able to buy the physical copies in the first place. if it more affordable for people (especially in countries that don't even sell/print manga) then people wouldn't have to resort to pirating. everyone has this misconception about pirating and shame people for it when it actually does no harm at all. so to put people down for it is just so out of touch.
U gotta understand thats just the japanese mindset. Its their culture and piracy is really frowned upon. Plus, even if i do pirate basically everything i read, ill never call an author classist for not wanting ppl to illegally read their work, thats how they make money and how they get validation from their art. We're the wrong ones here, even if its not actually "harming" anyone. I could argue it also has nothing to do w classism bc reading gachiakuta isnt a basic necessity
