Yessss. I forgot all the details. I read the novel and basically tuned out after the random mermaid thing was shoehorned in. It’s so funny to me that nothing else is supernatural in the story but FMC.
Yeah they could have done more with it. I expected more of that when they said he was blessed by some goddess in the begining and when they kept showing water forms and talking about it. Could have been so much better with supernatural elements being inferred more strongly and a deeper explanation of their connection.
Maybe it’ll be better illustrated? Iirc the sex scene was worse in the novel. She screamed no a lot more :-/
