Kastev's Manga

This manga is really one of, if not THE best isekai out there. Despite myself usually not liking shoujo stuff and getting tired of the overwhelming amount of isekai stuff being published, it really isn't anything like the typical isekai plot of main character reincarnates, gets cheat powers, and all the girls swoon over him. It's also not like a typical shoujo manga where it's just a sausage fest of men surrounding the single female lead.
There are just as many women around Katalina as there are men (Yuri goggles are off the charts) and serious romance takes the backburner behind an enjoyable plot and comedy which is really refreshing. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this goes on and this is one of the few manga where I'm actually dying in between the waits for the chapters. I am completely engrossed in the story to the point that I've probably read the current 18 chapters a dozen times since release.

Chapter 18 just completely threw everything I thought I knew about how the story would go out the window and talk about emotional. I don't usually get emotional reading fictional stuff, but an entire chapter where the side cast is truly discovering how much the main character means to them by remembering all the good times together as Katalina lies comatose was heartbreaking. I also can't believe Katalina's classmate reincarnated with her, and with the wording in the translation, seems to be very attached to who Katalina was before she was reincarnated. Though it seems like she only just regained her memories, I wonder if she knows that Katalina is her friend from Japan?

Can't believe how interesting this actually is. I'm reaaaaaaaally hoping this has a good end, because this manga's overall theme seems to be much darker than taken at face value with how death is treated. I would love for the manga to go on past the hopeful rescue of the sister and follow their adventures of continuing to the lowest dungeon levels in the hopes of finding some legendary food. Hopefully with the sister in the party too! Also, Elf girl is so kawaii~
