This is like the BL version of ‘beware the villainess’ lol! same capable smart and strong mc with brown hair, same loyal butler/knight, same red head hot headed ml, same dark haired royal prince/duke! the difference is this is BL and the author is brave enough to put all the mls to be in a relationship with the mc lol
so his majesty rape uke so many times he bleeds internally, humiliates uke by pouring drink to his head in front of high ranking officials in his birthday banquet, raping him in front of his guards right after he accidentally sliced his arm with sword… calling uke ugly and useless so many times too that uke believes that he is, so much that he thinks the only thing that will appease his majesty is for him to die, so he actually tries to kill himself… this majesty is so disgusting to me, saying words and doing actions that hurt uke so so much. he doesn’t deserve uke at all. i wish he suffers so much more.
Aside from Dohun and Yuwon’s story, I feel so so bad for Yuwon;-; please, he lives his life with bullying… from school to work, he never left that life. He is always stepped on, looked down upon, and humiliated througout his life… he didn’t get a break. His experiences hurt so much that his mind went confused and he forget the bullying was happening to him, not Dohun. Him forgetting means his mind was trying to forget the hurtful memories. He truly deserves better:((
It’s been so long to find a manhwa with such realistic and complex characters… Yuwon is such a victim of his environment. He lives such a bad life at work, stemming from his mindset and insecurities… his past affected his life so much with how he thinks and acts. His mind is so distorted and he is an unreliable narrator. Yuwon often blames Dohun, it shows that he is fucked in the head. His relationship with Dohun is interesting because at some point I feel like they’re both mentally ill;-; they’ve been through A LOT individually and somehow they find comfort in each other which is beautiful and heartwrenching at the same time… I feel pity for Yuwon, he is fucked in the head, as well as his life. I just want both Dohun and Yuwon to have a happy ending.
I feel so so bad for knox I actually cried. This whole plot starts out with a huge misunderstanding that I feel can be rather easily fixed, especially regarding Knox’s help in overthrowing the first prince, but it keeps dragging. Not only that, I feel like Khalid and the second prince are hot headed. They bear such a huge hatred and let anger blind them so much. The prince is even worse because he doesn’t have a specific very bad memories of Knox. So I think all of this is just so unfair to Knox. He doesn’t deserve any of it.

I’m flabbergasted on how completely INNOCENT Dohun is IN REALITY COMPARED TO YUWON’S ASSUMPTION. I genuinely thought Dohun pulled the strings and all at first and turns out he’s not!! he’s
so genuine and kind. Yuwon really have the knack to have the worst kind of people and trash surrounding him and even considered Seongmin as friend, while completely blaming the one who genuinely cares about him the most T-T
Bro you saw how Yuwon is such an unreliable narrator so what makes you think that Dohun’s POV is the reality ? He may also be a twisted dude we have no way of knowing for sure
you think someone who carved their name into a person's stomach claiming them like property then trying to justify rape w the good ol excuse called "you wanted this" is a good person?? go ride tht deluludick straight down to heeeell
Yeah I know Yuwon is an unreliable narrator and I don’t blame him. Yuwon is a victim to society and his environment, so much it messes up his head. He doesn’t deserve the things he put up through
The rape and assault part is completely unjustifiable I agree T-T let me recorrect my sentence, Dohun is not completely innocent, but so many his actions turn out to be different from what Yuwon assumed. The things Yuwon thought Dohun did was all in his head, the narrator portrayed that well
That's a very simplistic view. Dohun's point of view is just as skewed. Dude is unhealthily obsessed with Yuwon and apathetic to all other people, I'd say he assumes the worst in people first and acts on it. That's the point of the story - broken people with partially unreliable narratives, dependent on each other while hurting each other.
Girl what I’m saying is you can’t trust Dohun’s narration either ! He is as unreliable as Yuwon
now that you mention it, it opens up a new perspective
