Exactly, the idea as dumb and the execution as even worse

it's a fictional world portraying a religion in a fictional way. It doesn't actually exist. No need to drop a whole story for that, the plot is actually really nice. I'm Christian and they've made my relion appear different too in other manga. In one of them they even claimed that it's our tradition to have all members of the Church have a "pass"(sex) at a new member. I didn't tale it personal, because loke i said it's just FICTION.

You have no idea how this islamphobic storylines ruin lives. So many tv shows portray muslims as either terrorists are women who are oppressed and need a white man to save her. People dont know islam and believe that shit. Muslims are getting murdered and discriminated left and right, little kids are being killed and bullied in western countries like wth. Our basic human rights are being taken away from us because the mass media decided that muslims were enemy one o one. My religion has nothing but love and respect to ALL humans so for the sexism and asshole behavior here doesn't add up. You can attack me but a attack on my religion isn't something I will allow. and yes it's a attack on my religion because think of it this way as a Christian, if God created your religion and someone lies about it in a writing were people end up believing it, aren't they indirectly attack God. This is mass disrespectful and shouldn't be accepted. Even if it was Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism or whatever religion, we all should be angered with the stupidity, the ignorance, and the disrespect

I don't think that properly educated people would believe that, in fact dumb people would believe things about a religion from a fictional webtoon. It's not attacking your religion in any way, since it's fictional, not reality you need to realize that. It's not the author's fault if some people are retarded enough to take it for reality. There are many recist people, but i doubt fiction is the main cause of it. It's not mass media claiming that this is reality and that it's like that, it's just a little webtoon about a fictional plot nothing more. I can understand your anger, I've also been offended in the past by how they portrayed Christians in a yaoi fictional world, I'm just saying you don't need to stress over it and completely hate on a story because i doubt that attacking your religion was the author's intention, I'm pretty sure she did a research on your religion,she just decided to make something similar, it may not even be your religion at all but a new fictional one based on it.

also, I'm not trying to attack you or anything, i respect every religion, and I'm not saying that i don't understand how you feel, it's just that i find extremely dumb the people who believe fiction is something that can be used as portrayal of reality, that's why i find difficult to believe how a simple webtoon could cause the chaos you're talking about.

A lot of muslim are religious. So, that's why we more likely to feel offended if what were told in media/story contradict to what Islam actually is. Since the author could create a country that doesn't exist, why don't they also create a religion that doesn't exist in their story. This type of manhwa possibly create a misunderstanding to reader who don't really know about Islam. Those people would thought that muslim kill people however they like or men can have women as they like in harem. I wouldn't surprised if they're people who think arab or muslim people wear clothes like Princess Jasmine in Aladdin back then.

Yeah, if ppl don't like this manhwa, they can just stop reading this. They also have right to feel offended if their culture and religion were portrayed wrongly. (no hate, I just expressed my opinion as I'm also a muslim)

That's what I don't understand, how could people take something from fiction seriously about a country and a religion? Even if it's completely similar to the original one(religion) at some parts i find beyond dumb of them to think that this is how reality in the certain country and its religion is. So yeah, i still think that only dumb, uneducated, ignorant people would do that. I don't know much about Islamic religion but I've never assumed that this is how it is, just because it's portrayed that way in a webtoon. I'm sorry this happens to you people. People from Japan misunderstand my religion too. I've heard things that almost made me lose my hair about my religion before so i understand your anger, Christianity doesn't have the best reputation either.Anyway, what i wanted to say, is that there's no need to stress over it because Believe me, i know how much stress a comment of anger causes. I get what you are talking about. I dont care about the details of most mnaga/anime/drama/movie/book myself but for us muslims, islam has a special place. Its off limits for us. For example, people make cartoon, jokes, cosplay and many things about jesus. Tv series shows drug lords walking with cross and doing bad things and kissing the cross after but christians dont care. Do the same thing about islam or our prophet and muslims all over the world will protest.

As for this manga, I havent read it yet. If its one time thing then maybe I will read it.

See I get your point. The issue is people only want to portray Islam when they want to show the negative aspects of it. So yes it may be fictional and a story but does that excuse the inherent idea of using Islam as a scapegoat for evil? No, and constantly using it, it reinforces this negative stereotype and that’s why people are fed up.
