ok so i read some of the novel but some things may be wrong bc i read on google translate lol if u have any questions lmk bc i’m bad at explaining and the timeline is messy
















- karel still loves sasya even in the current timeline, he saw sasya performing secretly and realized sasya’s passion for ballet and wants to let him go, but as we all know that does not happen…
- karel is working as a double spy so he sort of keeps sasya as a side hoe to protect him for being associated with him, the rumors of Karel are all false he spread them himself and is engaged to this women to protect his identity as a spy
- a whole bunch of angst and misunderstandings between karel and sasya because of the engagement and other shit, sasya can’t let go of karel and goes into severe depression because of it, alcoholism and drugs :(
- eventually karel distances himself let’s go of sasya and says they’re over, he gets “married” to the woman and goes to the US for their “honeymoon”, when in reality he’s escaping to the US for asylum and planning to take sasya after he retires from ballet
-after that, sasya is accused of being a spy, he denies at first, but when he figures out that Karel was actually the spy he admits being guilty to “sacrifice” himself to protect Karel, he is scheduled for execution
- right before sasya is executed, Karel saves the day and reveals to the public that sasya is wrongfully accused, they both leave for asylum in the US
- later revealed that Sasya thought the Karel died during war, and did write Karel a letter saying that he is leaving to become a man worthy and when the war is over they can meet again, but ig it never got to Karel
