Guys. I have been thinking how utterly inept these Chernoborg guys are an criminal masterminds;
Report:
first, they do a deal with an underling of a major Japanese weapons trafficker - who bodges the deal when said major Japanese weapons trafficker gets wind of what's going on and has to stash the goods.
Then, instead of going after the guy who totally bodged the deal, (apart from a half assed assassination attempt on him and Asami's little lover by one errand boy) they go after the major Japanese weapons trafficker himself to try and somehow claw back the goods they lost.
THEN, they mess around with some OTHER major International weapons traffickers/major gang cartels and even take a couple of them hostage, before they find out their weapons are in a warehouse in Macau.
THEN, THEN, instead of just grabbing their bloody weapons and finally calling it a day with the deal, (basically forcing Asami to cut his losses and withdraw at that point….) they decide to hang around anyway to STILL go after the major Japanese and international weapons trafficker(s) and lose a boatload of men and an aircraft for no reason in the subsequent shootout.
AND THEEEEEEEEEN, even after ALL of that; they break into a busy city hospital in Hong Kong and drug everyone on at least one floor to rescue the GUY THAT BODGED THEIR ORIGINAL BLOODY DEAL, and kidnap the little lover because he happens to be there and the major Japanese weapons trafficker isn't.
AND OH, HERE COMES THE CLINCHER GUYS; They then settle in for a FIVE MONTH LONG PLAN to HOUSE, FEED, and possibly BRAINWASH said major Japanese weapon trafficker's little lover to kill him….when y'know; they could have easily gotten in touch with the major Japanese weapon trafficker's staff RIGHT AWAY to let them and/or the major Japanese weapons trafficker know they HAVE A HOSTAGE AND WANT TO NEGOTIATE TERMS.
So, I must conclude: They are hereby the WORST criminal organisation to ever have been invented and they need help working out their end-game - unless it is just the longest, most convoluted, genius game of mis-direction in history - working toward some huge goal of taking over the world of arms trafficking…..?

I think it's not Chernobog's idea but Sakazaki's idea (brainwashing and use a dear person to kill somebody). Saka has some kind of agreement with Chernobog. Remember he wanted so much to get Asami's place in the underworld.
I prefer not to use the words "little lover" to address Aki, it's somehow cringy to me (it sounds like talking about a "girly" person and not an actual 20 years something grown up man).
But how utterly ridiculous is it that a underground criminal organisation would go through all of this - but then still dedicate that much time and intricate planning (it's even more ridiculous if Sakazaki proposed the idea to them tbh) to put 5 more whole months into some farfetched brainwashing scheme…..especially when Chernoborg would find out (through Sakazaki and Sudoh) that Asami would do anything to get HIS LITTLE LOVER back.
They have literally what they need right there - and yet they draw it out? No organisation would increase their work, expenditure etc when there is a clear solution like a hostage exchange they could use to trap Asami. - Their goal is supposed to be "Anti-Government" and yet they've got completely sidetracked trying to kill some arms dealer in the most long-winded way possible because of one botched deal - AND kept the botcher alive on top of that. It's a pretty stupid concept...
It's more like The X Files than Finder. Sensei has never established that we are even in a universe where MK Ultra etc is possible. (Foreshadowing, mention of spy/governmental schemes and projects etc) so it is just too out of left field for a plot device this late in the game (especially when the readers were all logically expecting a touching hospital reunion and yes maybe a bit of amnesia.)
Sorry for the essay! It's an interesting topic.
And not to be rude, but I'll go ahead and call Akihito whatever I want, lolz. He's a made up character, I'm sure he doesn't mind ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Someone else is holding the strings of Chernobog (some other bigger player we still don't see). Call Aki the way you prefer, he's not my favorite character after all and FYI many would have been disappointed with the whole amnesia thing and the "tender reunion" some were so eager to see. Better Aki becoming the new Manchurian Candidate than the usual lovey dovey reunion many (I'm not the only one) are tired to see.
Yes I am thinking now it was mentioned by a few people, that this Alec guy may be behind it all - because his tie matches the mystery man in the hospital raid. It might be a clue!
