i get why some people are dissatisfied, but for me, i think it might just be that simple and easy for these two. they have been dancing around their own feelings for so long that when the moment came when the cracks in the dam finally burst, they were just being as honest to themselves and each other. jjk has never been the type to fully express himself, and when he finally did, it was all in bcs he was desperate. kd has always been the type of character who would never look away or make anyone feel unheard, and when he saw jjk just being emotionally vulnerable (not to mention, in public) he was relieved and probably did not have it in him to prolong any sort of agony for both him and jjk.
so this long-awaited scene might be short to some, but for me it was perfect as it was. direct to the point without glazing over jjk’s need to redeem himself to kd.
