y'all don't know how happy i was when ts wasn't a love square / angle—IT WAS A FUCKING QUADROUPLE (≧▽≦) YESSSS THAT'S MY SHIT, DOUBLE PENE THAT BOOTY!!!!! they all end up together and will marry? sign me tf up, i'm so ready for this
the story's nice—good even—but i don't like how poorly executed amber's trauma is, his tendency for sh, and his feelings for ten are. i love the artstyle, don't get me wrong, but the story feels like it's dragging on rather than progressing instead. :')
at first, i was impressed at the representation of mental health—esp amber's trauma from abuse—but seeing his trauma become an excuse/a justification for turning sh into some shallow kink or something to get off of is truly disgusting to me since he's been doing that since he was a kid, i'm sorry. i've been clean for a decade now and seeing any rep of mental health get degraded into fetishization feels so wrong to me. ㅠㅠ
additionally, the amnesia arc feels forced. again, another example of poor execution and the author's lack of need to truly end this in an amazing way (if it were just executed right aaaughhhh)!
P.S. i also have a feeling that the themes in here (the abuse → sh → getting off on it, the softcore grooming from amnesia arc, the prosopagnosia, etc.) are just fetish content that the author chose to include but justifies it by the trauma they both have from their pasts...
I agree wholeheartedly with you. Despite I enjoy the story, I won't deny that they're using sh and abuse at first as a plot and I think they wanted to be progressive abt it, but they made it fetishizing instead of it being impactful. It leaves such a bad taste, ngl. That's why I decided to choose to not take this story anymore. The story had a potential but since author couldn't contain their obvious kinks, I'm prob gonna have to deduct points from my review once this is done
