His best option at the time in my view would have been a contract marriage with someone before the heat got too hot with a secret wedding. Especially since he didn't care for the criticsm because he had enough power and influence especially since his brother was throwing him under the bus
Also Elysees didn't have enough power or money to start killing people yet at the time. But knowing her should would have used the princess to make the contract wife a outcast.
If that was Lilly escaping I hope she learned a hard arse lesson on greed and nobility and should have stayed a girls girl with Sally. Unless it was another innocent person, low-key hope it's Lilly though ( ̄∇ ̄")
It's getting interesting. I was expecting the " I want to annul our marriage" at a public gathering as usual but this is good. (=・ω・=)
The fact that we haven't even reached the full development of her feelings for the King and an official relationship and how it took 80+ chapters for a basic "avenging myslef" plot shows how the author didn't have time and plot management in mind for readers
80+ chapters should atleast be Sisley plotting her revenge and has made several attempts at fl life and reputation if not her getting caught and be prosecuted by the public and wrapping this mess up. It's not a worthy read. Extremely dragged and disappointing.

When word first got out that Lily was on the run, the Dukes wife in maybe chapter 50 or whatever chapter ending the trial showed of a her "new lily garden" and she was tending to it. Something tells me she's buried in there as even the imperial investigates and the Duke can't find her.
Going back to him will literally put all those efforts down the toilet. It's like reading a manga in circles if we can tell she'll get back to him eventually. I thought this story would be very different from a FL escaping her abuser and starting afresh with love and light but it's depressing me so much knowing that nice guys finish always finish last. Unless the plot really has a twist.
