Had to go back and reread because I didn’t even remember this, but I think you’re right! It would make a lot of details make sense, since it was clear dozens of chapters ago that Jinwoo is an unreliable narrator. First Junwoo being the first case of resurrection from the first chapter would make sense, since it said he “fell” from a 5th story apartment. It’s clear now that’s where he lived and Guwon found him. Second, when you go back now, you realize Guwon was at the site of the first disaster (the earthquake)—and was one of the first victims. It was there the whole time and we missed it. He literally was crushed under rubble. Also, Jinwoo having memories issues was obvious, but rereading chapter one after all this time confirms something I suspected: the man who Guwon killed was NOT his father. The dialogue implies that it was someone looting and killing in that building. BUT Jinwoo was already lying injured with a wrapped head wound. At one point Jinwoo had conflicting memories of Guwon’s rescue, what seemed to be three different versions where 1) G killed his dad in cold blood, 2) G killed his dad to save his life because he was about to kill J and 3) J killed his own dad and Guwon showed up immediately after. A plausible theory is possibly that all of this might have happened (given the amount of what seems to be clones) in different “life cycles”. Also, the hounds’ concern about the moon makes sense now. Perhaps the moon is his memory trigger? My new theory is that the Hounds are actually a team of scientists who either caused the disasters and/or are doing a controlled environment experiment to see what would be the best way to rebuild society. They either found Guwon and Jinwoo after the world fell apart (during the first resurrection cycles), or may even be the cause of everything in the first place and G&J really were the original lab rats. Guwon could be patient zero, given that his unnatural marking were already there in chapter 1, and perhaps the truth of everything drove Jinwoo to jump. Also Hound supply runs are actually just them reporting back to whatever headquarters they have. Also also, Guwon’s house may very well be his, and subconscious memory led him back there. Maybe he lived there with Jinwoo and the ring really was his. He may even have been the mayor of that town, which would explain his drive to protect the town above all else. Or the town is actually ground zero and everything started there.

You get that right detective, lol a bit surprised getting this long comment, i read it all btw....So you're right about Teach's father, either Guwon killed him for a good reason or he didn't killed him at all, l believe that what's written on chapter 1 is the actual reality of what happened or they have mixed memories from their past lives....i need to see the next chapter to know how they resurrect, coz the one who fell on that building seems to be resurrected with blood mixed on dark substance which was seen on Guwons footprints...that dark thing is intriguing

And yeeeesss, I never once that Guwon’s markings were natural. Everything about him seems lab-grown. The white glowing eyes, the black markings, the unnatural size (everywhere), the lack of knowledge (or rather, the forgetting possibly), and of course the markings on his neck which suggest a previous removal and reattachment. I do suspect that if Jinwoo wasn’t an outsider that possibly jumpstarted this whole thing, he’s just the other side of the same experiment with Guwon. Because he’s got those unhinged tendencies too.
