From my standpoint, I feel it’d be redundant for the MC to end up back with her ex despite the fact what he did was still emotionally neglectful and harmful for her, but to be fair authors don’t care about that lol. While yes, I sympathize with her ex for the situation he was facing, he clearly did not trust his girlfriend, and he clearly doesn’t think much of her words. They don’t hold enough weight for him to consider them being even a half truth, instead he shoots them down, and even comes to the defense of his so called friend. I really don’t care if he’s changed by now, I don’t wanna see her run it back with him, he’s a fucking twerp.
