seeing agares in his cold era made me realize how much character development he’s had in the og. i still remember how azz and clara was so anxious to ask agares for help they started to bribe him only for agares to look annoyed/hurt and claimed that they’re misfits so of course he wouldn’t treat azz and clara the same way he would treat outsiders
the cover’s such a bait. i thought this is a straight romance…
lmao actually i saw a similar comment to what i wrote when i was reading straight romance. i was like, "duh, there's a tag for a reason?" but then i got baited too bc the black-haired woman looks handsome, so i thought of that comment and decided to try haha. these two ppl who like me either have fat fingers or they're genuinely chill.
coming back to reread and then finding out in the comments ppl were debating about romance??? guys, it's just ONE arc, the plot has move far enough from that, you don't like it? don't read, or better yet, just skip that arc. you would hardly see the fl anyway after that. and then there's people who's insulting straight romance in action novel just to promote bromance, honestly, as a reader of orv, s class, etc that's pretty disgusting even tho it's valid
Agreed. Also have you read this yet https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/the_delusional_hunter_in_another/
Highly recommend it.
yup i don't even know what grudge do they have with raviel. she's literally perfect for gongja. atp im thinking they just bitter that gongja doesn't have that male sidekick like how jonghyuk is to dokja and braun is to kim soleum. i don't see this level of judgement during aegim and the director reunion
Thats not it.. We're saying the romance here is rlly nice and it's so nice to see MC to finally feel at peace for once and has someone who relate to him always regressing cuz fl the only one who remembers everytime he regress. I feel like 90℅ readers also love the romance, it's definitely not unnecessary and imo very much needed. But if ppl dont want romance AT ALL the they could just skip S3 entirely cuz in S3 he transmigrated into a romance novel world for the a quest. So aside from S3, there are no romance.
it started out shitty at first bc look at mc's behavior in the first chapter, but you would be surprised by the character development he would have. it started to go peak when he went to that doll mansion (famous arc you can find so many edits of it in tt or yt) as for the romance, it's not "unnecessary" and it's not "fanservice," the fl is needed so mc doesn't become like subaru from re:zero
why i said that you can skip it is bc i know romance is not for everyone. it's like no matter how good a chocolate taste, if they prefer vanilla, you wouldn't be able to convince them to like chocolate. fl and mc relationship has their own arc, and after that arc ended, they still have their own life to live not sticking to each other 24/7 so that's why if you don't like romance, just skip it bc after that arc, they will see each other but not as often bc mc is busy conquering the tower and fl is busy with her duke's works but they are connected in a way she would know if he died bc they would regress together. Skipping the romance arc doesn't affect the plot, but it does affect mc's character development, hence the plot doesn't get confusing even if you skip it
Thank you for saying what I was thinking I just found the story and finished up to the last chapter we have and I wanted to leave a comment about how much I’ve loved all the arcs so far and the characters and then all I saw in the comments were people (hating on women and straight stories as they usually do on this website) and talking as if the romance arc was the worst thing ever when I think it added to the story and the MCs character even more. It was literally also foreshadowed since his ghost mentor kept saying he hasn’t fallen in love like it was always going to be a part of his journey. Anyways I love all the arcs in the story the heavenly demon arc is my favorite but the romance one is my second favorite and I like the characters . I think people’s bias cloud there judgement so much and most people have an innate hatred for female characters in general because if it was bl most of them probably wouldn’t have a problem and I read all types of stories here and I literally don’t care who’s the love interests. Like put physical and gender and sexuality bias aside for once and just enjoy that characters and story for what it is . You can dislike something and still respect it for what it is and you don’t have to love everything either if the romance arc wasn’t for you then fine but don’t critique because you didn’t understand it or because the love interest was a women (who was actually written well for once, all the women in the story seem to be so far).
i understand, i was like that too. the story is so good but all they can do is focus on the romance they don't even like. romance isn't the main plot of mc's life, it's conquering the tower, but just bc of ONE ROMANCE ARC they talk shit about it. but yeah, not everyone likes romance, i understand that, but there's no reason to insult female characters, especially raviel. i know action manhwa with bromance is more famous nowadays, but that's what makes suicide hunter so great to me, because amidst the 'raising s class, orv, gsgw, trash of count family' that has at least one male character ppl ship mc with, suicide hunter doesn't rely on that kind of fanservice. it's mc's kindness that makes it so endearing to read and the ppl he is involved with. even the villain aegim is such a well written character and i always like the fact how the master of the tower is kind enough to listen to mc's request to regress together with his lover, that scene brought tears to my eyes, he really loves raviel
Yes their relationship is simply lovely when you actually pay attention to how they love each other even though it may seem fast that’s just how the story is written! The main character is also one to most kind MCs I’ve seen in a while he genuinely cares about people and we’ve seen how much he’s grown since he started out as an envious person due to his circumstances. He has had amazing character growth to become someone who cares about others and they care about him!
imo, the princess isn't even annoying. sure, ppl question why a naive thing like her is the princess but let's be real, why are you enforcing human value on a deity? who say a princess has to be "wise and a fair ruler"? she has someone that she wants which is baal so she just strikes to gain his affection, so what if she lash out to the gramp? she's a "deity," not a "helpless princess," it's like when baal destroyed delkira's lake to build his castle, so what if he do that? he has the authority, same with the princess. it's fine if you hate her, but don't expect her to become "kind and logical," when even a demon can selfishly rule and shape the kind of netherworld they want. what you should watch out is how nishi would write her when she know she is being used by baal. if she just cried and let herself be used like a helpless thing, that's a poor writing that contradicts her deity status and yandere personality and if it reach that point, then i guess hating the princess is reasonable
as a yandere lover, my ideal ending for baal is for princess shura to lock him up. sure, the author can write the princess siding with iruma once she knew she's being used, but that's predictable and boring. nishi can write about female demons being a huntress, surely she can conjured something interesting like "princess realize she's being used but so what? she's still adore baal and she's a deity which proves to have more authority than demons, so the wise thing to do to get what a deity one is to simply lock him up in whatever realm she's in."
I want her to be so obsessed that baal's existence would be wipe out in the netherworld as a consequence of the betrayal, like there's not even a record of baal's name and he shall only be known as the one who tried to use the deity to bring chaos into the netherworld only to, well, disappear as a consequence of tricking a deity
The hate on the princess is still valid because if you go to previous chapters, she’s aware that Baal won’t feel the same way she feels towards him. Say let’s give her a doubt since she was a sheltered princess but she’s not in a position to use that excuse because she holds a great authority over demons. Demons are all about hierarchy so it would be weird that even she’s just a princess, she’s excluded from that idealism. Human values are out of the window to this story since its the Netherworld that we’re talking about and they have their own set of rules — hence i think its important in their world whose and what authority demons hold to keep the “balance” in their world like what Delkira paved for them.

is it just me that think instead of “narnia is kind,” it’s more like “he’s so racist that he doesn’t even want a new demon in the netherworld” lol. this thought occurred bc of how his eyes sparkles during the one of the 13’s betrayal arc when envisioning a future where “demons live together” without humans and ig new demons
