There's a fine line being drawn between rape and love right now. Plenty of yaoi mangas have challenged this line. It's what makes stories interesting. I don't think the author is trying to romanticize nor normalize rape. Rape is a degrading act of terror but it can also be misinterpreted as love. Which, I know, is something a lot of us don't agree with or can see it as. But, that's how other people can see it and personally, I'm intrigued to find out more about those people. I believe rape is the worst thing you can do to a person and it is not right. I also believe that love is subjective and can be shaped in anyway the person sees fit. That's what makes love so captivating. So, I do agree with you that rape shouldn't be romanticize so much however, I think we should give the author a chance to explain Choi Yule's character and the reasoning behind his actions. Of course nothing can make up for what he'd done to Kyung-soo but I think he deserves a reason at least.
