Whenever there's an abusive and problemaric person in a yaoi, people will always pull the "This isn't like your typical yaoi, the relationship is interesting, complex, and unpredictable" card.
Has anyone noticed this trend? It's typically only said in yaoi with problematic figures. Before it wasn't as commonplace but now I'm seeing it a lot. Like, rape makes the relationship dynamics more interesting? Can someone explain that.
