I'm sure she will cover this but the King is being a serious asshole. He never saw his sister as a capable person so he kept her ignorant. Now, with the excuse of loving her, he is giving up on not only his own life but his entire kingdom just for what he believes her happiness is. How could anyone be happy with that kind of sacrifice? What a self serving idiot, I can't wait for the princess to prove to him just how wrong he is.
See, this is what I don't like. There was literally no reason to keep this from Estelle. Maybe at first because she was upset but it's been more than a year. Especially Roy. Either everyone else is a coward or so selfish that they didn't want to be the one to upset her. It's bad writing so the author could have this moment. Roy should of told her, his oath should of superceded any awkwardness or shelfishness or obligation he felt to Emel. Blarg.

The land dwellers do have slavery. They don't. Fighting a war of liberation... I'm sure it won't turn out that way but still.
