I had a rather concerning thought. What if Iris is the Queen? Like they did a magic body swap? She's so different... The only reason I'm not convinced is she isn't going after Karl but maybe she wouldn't want someone who she thinks could of been her son.
See, this is what I don't like. There was literally no reason to keep this from Estelle. Maybe at first because she was upset but it's been more than a year. Especially Roy. Either everyone else is a coward or so selfish that they didn't want to be the one to upset her. It's bad writing so the author could have this moment. Roy should of told her, his oath should of superceded any awkwardness or shelfishness or obligation he felt to Emel. Blarg.
I mean I think the "new soul" that had read the book would have saved her life as she got there before she was killed, I mean she wasn't even married yet when this book began. But now she's a murderer and will be lucky if she doesn't end up dead. What an idiot.
