Like Dohyun's wrongings (which happened when he was a teen, a teen from abusive family, often going hungry, with no support) are incomparable with Sungho's. He made mistakes, he was selfish at times... But it was portrayed rather clearly Sungho's was obsessive from the very start. He was the one who introduced sex to their relationship. He was the one who contacted Dohyun when they started to drift apart etc. He was the one who called their relationship disgusting and didn't communicate that he felt uncomfortable about some things.

And we are talking about rape, torture (both physical and psychological), humiliation, kidnapping, breaking arm....

So what do u want from a comic set around rape and torture, kidnapping. This was the only way for a happy ending

For me it's not really a happy ending thought. Sungho's imo rather dangerous, unstable man and he should have faced consequences for his actions.

What's more it's rather naive and wishful writting to believe they are going to live happily even after. They are two broken, rather unstable people.

If we are punishing sungho then we should also see that dohyun did molest sungho back in past, took advantage of his feelings. Besides its a bl manhwa u can't expect it to be all realistic

The only molestation scene I can think of was with studying English vocabulary. He was inconsiderate at times but it was the first time he felt loved by anyone. Still being insensitive is not a crime.

In comparison to rapes, tortures, kidnapping it's not much.

Not that I'm justifying what sungho did but he's rather unstable even when he's younger. He was given materialistic love but never emotional one. Which is what he found with Dohyun. Hence he becane obsessive with him.

No dohyun is not just being insensitive. He's manipulative. He led Sungho in doing things he did when they are younger. Ofc I understand what he's been through reasons why he's emotionally detached but still, he's not completely innocent of what pushed sungho in to an even more obsessive person. Again, not justifying all the horrible things sungho did to him.

Also, the ending is not a "wishful writing". Both characters are well aware that their relationship won't be like a normal couple would be. They gave themselves time to heal and still heal. In the ending part, dohyun goes back to his life while sungho has gone to counseling. So no. There's no naivety or whatnot in this story. The ending clearly shows two people choosing to stay together while trying to heal and bettering themselves.

I worded it badly. I mostly meant that people's comment are rather naive and wishful.

He is not completely innocent but still it's ridiculous to compare his actions to Sungho's.

And Sungho's parents wanted to help him in the end in the end.

You can forgive but there still should be consequences. Sungho is dangerous, unstable man who was in that state for years. He needs professional psychiatric help. And he needs to face consequences.

Also for me it IS naive. "people choosing to stay together while trying to heal and bettering themselves" like we are talking about relationship between kidnaper and his victim, about rapist and his victim. He tortured him, broke his arm and humiliated him. These things won't magically dissaper.

Not trying to make you feel bad about your thoughts. But THIS IS NOT A HAPPY ENDING. It's not about giving the characters a break. It's just sad that Donhyun, now has Stockholms syndrom, and PTSD and who knows what else because of what was done to him, it's sad that people are saying this is a happy ending. They both need serious mental health treatment. I feel bad for both of them. This relationship they want to start, will be one of suffering. Even at the end of the last chapter, donhyun admits he is still the same person, as before and the other ML has borderline personality disorder. No way he is ready for a romantic relationship, at least a healthy one. Why do you think the author didn't write anymore? Because, if you go by how the story and characters are at the moment, they are both still very sick. I repeat it's not a happy ending. That makes me sad for both of them. I know it's not real life. But the writer made this story with, things that actually happen in real life. I cried for both characters, and hoped for some sort of happiness, but this ending, is not it. It's a start of tons of suffering for both.
