I’ve always been a big proponent for official translations, but with the site down I took it upon myself to seriously start reading on official sites like Tappytoon, Lenzhin, Tapas. I started organizing my libraries and earning coins to start buying previous chapters of series I read. With many webtoons being officially picked up it just seem stu......   1 reply

This might sound like the least thing you want to do or an insensitive answer, but my honest advice is to find a hobby and to keep your life busy. My sister recently broke up with her 2-year boyfriend (and that might seem insignificant compared to yours) but it was her first love and a while before they broke up, they did the deed so this was hard ......   reply

I felt like I found the promised land or something! It was my very first yaoi and it was strictly vanilla, but it was a yaoi sceneヾ(☆▽☆) and before that I was reading (and fed up with) Shoujo! I stumbled upon a beautiful yaoi and I've never been so happy since! It was adorable moreover it actually was mature romance which was a total switch......   1 reply

My first anime of course was the legend itself Dragon Ball Z. No seriously it was really DBZ. I haven't even heard of Dragon Ball until I finished the Saiyan Saga. My first manga was Naruto. Back then I was anime-only and had heard of manga but did not want to touch it. It wasn't until it got really deep in Naruto Shippuden and had to know what was......   1 reply

IrisaAurora's question ( All 2 )

Disclaimer: We are appreciative for every group’s hard work and time, this is just a free space to talk about some criticisms we may or may not have! And no group is being targeted.
I’ve never been apart of a scanlation group (so do tell of your experiences if you have any) but I’m in many discord servers and it seems that some groups just TAKE THEIR TIME releasing chapters (I’m particularly talking about the popular ones) because they know it’s popular and people are going to wait for it regardless of time. (Like I’m talking about having the chapter done and waiting to release it just because.) While I accepted this, it suddenly becomes an issue when people get sniped and then the group has this huge problem and starts drama. Like what did you expect when the raws have been out for months and you took forever? Also they will ban for asking when a chapter will be released! Like that is so unfair. Groups will also take on more projects, despite already being spread thin, and make releases even slower... what sense does that make?! I’ve just noticed a lot of things I can’t say on discord without getting ban or attacked, so do you guys have any criticisms or defenses that you want to say about scanlation groups?

THIS ISNT A QUESTION BUT A CALL TO ATTENTION!

I haven't seen anybody on here do this so here I go:

Bato is shutting down and it affects this site because, from what I been told, this site scans Bato and updates based on that. With Bato shutting down there will not be a lot of immediate updates on this site.

I think to help the site until something is figured out, we can look out for updates and notify MangaGo when an update happens. I'm not saying to constantly be on every scanlations sites but you can choose your favorite scanlation group and watch out for their activity. Also some mangas have specific days of updating like Boku no Hero Academia and some tell you when they are going to update like Yona of the Dawn. To notify simplify report with the link to the new chapter.

Some groups don't like their work on third party sites, but I find third parties the best because usually the chapter is a zip file and I can't open those. That decision is up to you guys but if you can, please try to still notify the community on here that something updated.

I'm reaching out because I have a lot of ongoing, spontaneously-updating mangas that are done by too many groups to keep track of. So I'm hoping as a community we can keep the notification of a lot of the updating manga with Bato shutting down.

I encourage communication, if you have anything to say or correct please let me know. When I heard that Bato was shutting down and how big of an impact it has on many manga sites, I grew worried about a lot of updating or new mangas not being notified or discovered. I hope this is one way we can continue to read mangas until something is permanently in place.
