It’s such a fun concept, I like the idea of a story about doing food delivery in another world, but so far it just feels messy and poorly executed. I don’t really like any of the characters and I’m just getting annoyed at all the nonsense… maybe it’ll get better later but I don’t know if I’ll keep reading. It’s not really that bad, just very mid, but all the missed potential leaves me disappointed.

It’s not bad so far but I’m honestly so annoyed that MC isn’t really looking for any information about his situation. He’s supposed to be a researcher and you’re telling me my guy wakes up 500 years later and is this fucking stupid enough to not even take the most basic steps towards understanding his new surroundings?? Try to find a history book or at least ask someone about some if the basic info he’ll most certainly need… He realizes that civilization and technology seem to have regressed but still acts like he doesn’t know this when it comes to his abilities and seems utterly unable to read people’s reactions to things too. So I kind of just have mixed feelings about this one so far.
Wow what happened with her husband was already infuriating but man the way her mom was talking to her after barging in was terrible too I got so mad aaaah AND SHE SLAPPED HER I WOULDVE SNAPPED ON GOD I really hope she’ll be happy with Mitsui and hopefully no major drama after this ╥﹏╥
What's bluffing is that it is a pretty accurate way to describe family ties after a divorce in Japan. Well, for what I know, an individual can bring shame to a family by being a divorcee or being gay and it can actually exclude the whole family from any kind of social life, especially in small villages like the mom seems to live in.
It's starting to change but I remember a book, written in 2007 by a French gay man about what it meant to be gay in Japan and the repercussions if you were out. I bet it evolved a little bit since then but it shouldn't be so far off the mark. If you dabble a little bit in French, the book was named "les chrysanthèmes roses". I don't know if there were any translation available for it tho.
It was sort of cute but also I’m so disappointed with the way they handled that… The stupid seme seriously went and misunderstood things on his own, dumped the uke without communicating anything, then started showing off all his new sex partners to the guy he dumped, then acted like he was the victim in this??? AND THEN YOU’RE TELLING ME THAT EVEN AFTER THEY REALIZE THERE WAS A MISUNDERSTANDING HE DOESNT EVEN APOLOGIZE OR SAY ANYTHING THEY JUST GO STRAIGHT TO SEX AND CONTINUE NOT COMMUNICATING EVERY TIME?? He’s just an asshole imo uke deserved better, all they needed to do was talk… this author’s other stories tend to do the same thing too.
This is infuriatingly bad tbh, I strongly recommend not reading it and saving yourself the frustration and waste of time. MC is not really a bad concept but literally everything and everyone else is miserable.
