I actually had high hopes for Nowaki-san. But why does the last panel look like he would be slimy pervert, or that he will use Yutaka for some power move in the yakuza groups conflict? I wish there will be a suprise and he turns out to be just super nice old dude.
There's something odd about this manhwa but I can't figure out what it is. I am not saying it's bad, it's actually lovely (and sad). And I'll continue reading it as it updates. There's just something that keeps bothering me (and thus makes me enjoy reading this a bit less), but I don't know what that is.
This doesn't happen often to me, I usually know what doesn't sit right with me in a manhwa, so if anyone has this feeling too, I'd appreciate your insights.
I think it's the realistic professionalism. Most showbiz stories like Superstar from age 0 have this professional settings. They don't just get a writer writing on a park and then suddenly a movie is there with a weird but lovely kid as a cast. This story is nice but I don't think the author knows a lot about actual showbiz scenes
Great point. Most of the actor stories are tailored for the child actor to have a smoother ride, but they still seem believable, this one is less convincing.
Like how the kid became a co-author of the script because the writer failed to write a good script even after multiple revisions?
Also, a lot of child actor stories is 'second life', 'already has been adult', 'worked hard in the past',
'knows the future', 'has some magical power', etc. to explain why it works out for them. But here it's nothing like that, he is an actual child with zero life experience. Yet he is treated like an adult by the adults and even catered to and trusted with decisions about movie making.
I think that odd feeling comes from our MC being actually odd. It was already part of the setting that Dohyeon and Heesung feels alien to other people. And I also feel that odd feeling as well but for some reason I really love it and it pushes me to read more. Also some of their interactions feel natural but also unnatural? Like the part where Dohyeon sees a seal and his friend stops him.
Damn! Jaebeom is such a hot myhrfvcker that I keep falling for his bs. Like seriously his visuals and aura are top tier. Don't fall for his manipulation Jooyoung! I would though. Actually I am. Up till this season I was such a PD fan but somehow Jaebeom got under my skin.

that is a problem with a lot of the manhuas (Chinese). I tend to love their story telling, and the art of manhuas but unfortunately its hit or miss it its translated.
