that is a problem with a lot of the manhuas (Chinese). I tend to love their story telling, and the art of manhuas but unfortunately its hit or miss it its translated.

At one point I thought this story tried to be at least a tiny bit realistic. But now I see the author has zero idea bout human biology.
Not urinating for half a day with that much water intake is a serious health hazard. His kidneys were probably screaming from pain because of urine retention, and it can lead to other issues like nerve damage or infection. Not to mention that after 24 hours it causes irreversible damage to kidneys and can even lead to death.
Yet this manhwa portrays it as if it was some fun and "BDSM healthy" punishment. It's BS and I honestly wish the author realised this and deleted/edited those chapters.
And I may sound like a take a stupid manhwa too seriously and should chill. but I find this much worse than topics like rape, murder, torture, etc. Because those are very clearly pictured as bad and accompanied by trigger warning. But what if some dumbass gets inspired by this.

I totally get what you're saying. I feel very very similarly whenever choking or breath play happens in a story. Choking is something that is very simple as a concept and people assume is an "easy kinky thing" to bring to the bedroom because it provides thrill without needing any toys or materials. That means a lot of everyday people try to copy it because they see it as a casual, approachable thing. But in actuality it's really dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. Honestly, it's still dangerous even if you DO know what you're doing. These things require education on technique, understanding of the body, and a solid knowledge of how to handle the situation if something goes wrong.
I totally understand feeling frustrated and upset by seeing a serious thing that could cause genuine harm being portrayed casually in a fictional setting. Even if it IS supposed to be viewed as fantasy and not reality, it doesn't mean that all people know that and why a *do not try this at home* would be appreciated. You have every right to feel the way you do and I'm very grateful for you choosing to share what you know. I hope that you're able to still enjoy this story and embrace the fantasy of it if that's something you want to do. And if not, that's totally okay and understandable.

I actually experienced something along those lines, not in a kinky way but circumstantially. For me it only took couple of hours before I couldn't even straighten my back because of how much my kidneys hurt. Going to the bathroom afterwards was the most painful experience. Later an ultrasound at the urologists showed that my kidneys show signs of urine retracting back.

And I absolutely agree about not relying on acquired information. That's very possible, honestly. Most of the research I have regarding sexual choking/ breath play and the negative impact from unsafe practices is surrounding college students/ college-aged people. I would be super interested in more statistics from other demographics.
In porn with professionals, especially professional femmedoms, they almost always know the safety limits for choking (think like actors who sword fight for a movie. So maybe I am wrong but the way I understand this chapter is that there is actually no other person in that apartment except the white haired guy. He is having sex through interference with consciousness through a chip while just jerking off.
Like if you kinda look at his starting position in the begining you see there is no other person, his standing position at the end is also identical - facing the shower head, meaning the whole sex scene happened through a vivid "imagery".
Remember how the white guy wanted to transfer seonwu's consciousness from one artificial body to another and the consciousness escaped? I am assuming that because of it the white hair guy had to invent a way how to "replace" his lover before his consciousness is found and brought back(?).
And one way to do it could be by having a chip programmed with a feature that would allow precisely what happened in this chapter - making it seem that the guy is actually real. And that's why the white haired guy said "better than using a stand-in for seonwu" bcs it's basically his programmed replica (perhaps not programmed but more like inferred from and mimicking past real experiences)
