First chapter seemed promising but it went downhill quite fast with all the tropes. I really dislike it when the ML changes lanes so fast, why do they ALWAYS fall in love with the person they seemed to hate soo much just because they changed personality?

Where is the spice in that? The suspicion, the tension the burning hate simmering down and instead a new flame ignites, one of love. No, it has to happen immediately, now the aloof, cold king has turned to a grinning idiot, whose whole world revolves around MC. Ml is super boring and I cant tell you what his personality is. A piece of toast is more interesting.

MC OF COURSE FALLS IN LOVE WITH HIM TOO OH LORD WHY. The only one who I find interesting enough is the actual wife of the ML who I think we are supposed to hate? At least they are portrait as the villain of the story but let's be honest, if your man is bedding the consort every night wouldn't you feel some sort of way too?

I think this is just a matter of perspective since we all view it from MC POV we of.cpurse try to root for him but if it was switched MC would literally be "the other woman". Author is super bad at writing their characters so wifey will probably just stay a generic villain.
