you are correct, they weren't the best parents! koi just wanted a large family while ashley was happy with 1-2 kids.. the worst part is how they treat them differently Bliss (the omega, youngest and dumb one that is shielded from everyone) got loved by everyone including ashley JUST because he is an omega like Koi. While a sweetheart like Chase got neglected just because of him being an alpha. But as for Ashley's parenting methods, TRASH, and koi willing to distance himself from the children so ashley could parent them, TRASH!
Since i've already read the novel i'll be following along since i actually don't mind the story at all but i don't agree with his parents getting off with being bad parents, ESPECIALLY to Chase

I havent read their story yet but im aware of some of the spoilers and omg this exactly why they boil my blood

i suggest you read "kiss me if you can" that is one of the better (if not the best zig story as of yet), while i do enjoy the other stories, kiss me if you can is the best of them all (one of my favs in general too, + the artstyle SLAPS)

That was the best one. Sadly I have read pretty much everything from ZIG that got a manhwa bcs once you pick it up its like a contract with a devil until you complete it you aren’t free of your due diligence. They do say there isn’t much difference between a hater and a fan and i tether between the balance

HAHAHHA i feel the exact same way lol! i have a love/hate relationship with ZIG, my first manhwa was from her too (RAC.. and i enjoyed reading it lol) so i feel a special connection to her in that sense

I think you must have read Lick Me Up If You Can (ashkoi story) with your eyes closed if all you have is that opinion. They literally did their best to raise already psychopathic children. After having Nathaniel, Grayson and Stacy who were all born psychopaths and who trier to kill Koi, Ashley did what he had to do to make sure they didn’t really go out there murdering and raping people. He had to distance them from Koi too because of the pheromones and because kids were already showing dependencies on Koi’s pheromones and he didn’t want to risk them raping Koi not to mention how possessive Ash himself is over Koi.

Of course they did wrong by Chase who was a normal and good kid and who manifested as an alpha later on and perserved his emotions and normalcy, but they literally didn’t know and Ashley himself being a dominant alpha and suffering from pheromone induced brain damage couldn’t really understand Chase’s emotions and feelings - dominant alphas in ZIG’s universe gradually lose emotions and empathy. Still for Chase they did the best they could too. Koi knew Chase needed people and being surrounded by people more than other children (which had to be kept away from people) so he told Ashley to get him into acting and that’s how Chase’s career started.

For Bliss, it is obvious that Ash will love Bliss differently and more than other children. While Koi wanted a lot of little Ashleys, and received a lot of little Ashleys, Ashley also wanted children like Koi. Ashley hated his disposition, hated dominant alphas and what being a dominant alpha did to him and Ashleys parents were both very prschopathic themselves and they fucked up Ashely beyond repair. So Ashley really didn’t want to bring more dominant alphas into the world, and seeing his children being everything he hated at such a young age was afwul him too, yet he did his best to raise them as well as he could.

Raising dominant alphas isn’t the same as raising betas or omegas. They lack sensitivity to emotions, they have no morals and their bodies are also very durable. Ashley himself told Koi “Koi our children don’t showemotions, do you see their faces, they don’t understand what we’re feeling.” Only Chase and Bliss were different.

Ashley and Koi are very good partners given the kids they had to work with. Ashley understood each of them well. He knew how to raise Nathaniel and that Nathaniel was more intelligent and could be given more freedom than Grayson. Unlike Dominic (Ashley’s father), Ashley and Koi never interfed in their children’s relationships. They let them date who they wanted to date and that’s obvious in Grayson’s story too. Ashley repeatedly helps him find his true soulmate.

Mind you, if you compare Koi and Ash to their own kids, it’s only Chase and Josh that are as normal and have an as healthy relationship as they did. Nathaniel is very problematic, killer and borderline rapist, Larien almost preys on Bliss so Ash is obviously extremely protective over him given how cluless and stupid Bliss tends to be, Grayson and Stacy are better off being kept from society at most times.


I feel it’s very unfair how Chase’s fans come to bash at AshKoi without knowing or understanding anything about them, when the two of them had the hardest, most agonizing story and lives out of all the children and suffered various forms of abuse.

Why would the kids become dependent only on Koi’s pheromones? Its not even like Yujin from Kiss Me Scumbag(another nugget of shit from the cesspool that is zigs mind) who had to raise Angela alone which is why Angela couldn’t stand her bio dad’s pheromones.

Do you not see how the kids were set up from failure from the very beginning? The whole logic surrounding, kids were psychopaths they did their best logic flies out the gate when you realise they could have stopped having children and focused on giving the one special kid all the tools required for life.

They were rich, now I wouldn’t know how advanced the psychology department in Omegaverse is but the number one thing, any child needs is support and understanding. Treating your child like a freak and leaving it alone like a venomous snake in a barrel is going to result in nothing good. That goes for all the children not just psychopathic ones. Father distanced himself from the family lest the children rape their mother. Do you not see how that in itself was the problem? Instead of showing them healthy family role models all they probably did was have sex or what? Given the state of omegaverse genre i wouldn’t be shocked if that were the case.They had no business being parents.

Grayson was shocked to see Dane commit an act of selfless heroism. He cannot understand empathy but in that instance he felt something almost like a newborn chick who is fascinated by the world. Grayson honestly gives homeschooled vibes more than a psychopath. Idk much about the other siblings yet, and im not afraid to eat my words later if im wrong but I am fairly sure given everything I’ve read from this author that every single character has victim complex and communication is a lost art form altogether. Im about to get an aneurysm just from reading your comment about the parents, when they eventually do get a manhwa or a completed novel translation, I know Im in trouble.

to also answer the comment about defending Ashley and Koi's parenting, "did their best" how the hell did they do their best? and that doesn't excuse the hell they put Chase through, it takes two to tango and the fact that they had 6 kids they couldn't raise that blame is their own. What they went trough is obviously horrible i know but why have kids if you haven't dealt with your trauma yet? why go through the hardship og having kids and the responsibility of raising them when you haven't gotten help dealing with your past? they obviously got money so that isn't the issue
And yes i still blame them, for the fact they haven't even CONTACTED Chase after all these years, yes Chase cut them off but Ashley or Koi didn't even TRY TO contact him or want some kind of reconciliation, explain the circumstances or at least try to apologise for the way they handled it, you know what Ashley's reaction was to Chase getting married? "good for him" with NO EMOTION, couldn't at least try to be happy or contact him or SOMETHING. They didn't raise their kids right that is just a fact, yes i have sympathy for their situation but let's not excuse how they went about things they COULD'VE done better.. anyway, all's well that ends well i guess.. all the kids ended up pretty okay from what i've seen of the males in the family

On a second thought, it’s coming back to me. Its how they handled the age gap coupled with the usual omegaverse social hierarchy bullshit. Hated how everyone treated the MC including the long haired hottie from this one. Hated what strength looked like to the MC( this bit could be due to lack in translation idk its been long)
