The plot is well thought out and the pacing of the story is good for what it is.
If you don't like drama, crime, negative tropes, psychological, move to a more flowery stuff. I personally like these stories because of the drama. It makes it interesting and keeps you on the edge. The negative parts is what makes you think and wreck your brain. Everyone expects a clean boy romance in every single BL and I don't understand why. It's fiction that's supposed to keep the reader engaged.
