I think the new villain put some kind of magic on the king, because there is no way the king would let his son suffer, or the king is a a**hole and he doesnt care. I hope they get their happy ending dammit

Anyway, the artstyle has gotten so childish. Its not a bad thing, but it doesnt fit the story especially when you compare the old art, how the 1st chapter started, and the horror aspects.
They definitely could've leaned further into the scary components.
