Overall the story is pretty good. Good characters, good character development and good matches. The only parts that I didn’t like that much was the whole US arc and the last 30-40 ch with the youth word cup. I was however really excited to see the other teams teaming-up tho ლ(´ڡ`ლ). Personally, I would say the story started to get interesting once they had that match with the gunmans. All the matches that came after that was just ヾ(☆▽☆). So yh that’s my thoughts on Eyeshield 21 for anyone that’s planning to give this a read. Also Hiruma is best boi (︶︿︶)＝凸
I am really conflicted. I am currently in 26 chapter, the plot is so random, like it is going nowhere. I wanted to read about serious sport you know, where there are actually members and the practice and stuff but this is also so fun to read,like it's really funny.
So like... I've just been super curious about this, but does anyone know what happened to Taki? Maybe I just skipped a chapter on accident but for the life of me I CANNOT remember what fucking happens to him at the end of it all, and he doesn't appear in the epilogue. Was his character ever even addressed or was he just forgotten?

When I was nine my brother handed me down his old physical copies of shounen jump, I remember reading eyeshield 21 and being amazed! I think only around two of the copies he had even had the manga in it but it still really stood out to me. I love Dr. Stone and the fact they're written by the same guy is mind boggling. This mangaka never misses!!! One of the best sports manga ever I cannot wait to reread!
Anyone here ship Hiruma and Mamori? Cuz I do! Its been years since I finished reading this but I always think that there are hints of HiruMamo here in the manga.
This series need a reboot. One that is more faithful to the manga. Please. I have the DVD for the anime and you have no idea how frustrating that they stopped right at semifinals
