Honestly this had so much potential to end as a poly ship with Hikaru,Eagle and Lantis.. Its obvious that all 3 of them love each other lantis is obviously in love with hikaru and cares about eagle, hikaru says she wants to marry both at the end and eagle loves lantis but feels something for hikaru too and its obvious that its more than ''friendly'' feeling
To be honest I strongly dislike the anime.The art doesn't match and they changed to story to something unregognizable. Angelamore
well seem I'm the only one who feel that way ╮(￣▽￣)╭ As I saw the anime before reading the manga, I didn't think the characters were as much flesh out and everything felt so rush. In the 2nd season I loved Debonair and Nina plot, it added so much more to the plot (the manga was a bit boring for me) and I loved the ending more in the anime (except for the no-revealing of the god, that's the only thing I think the anime should not have skip).

Totally late reply but... I love the anime too! It was one of my first animes. I wasnonly able to read the manga a decade and a half later and it was a great read too. I like both the plots of them. My 'complaints' though will include the non-reveal about Mokona, and Umi ending with Clef in the anime coz I ship her so hard for Ascot (so I like the manga's take on this). I like that Presea lives in the manga, but I also like that she died in the anime coz it pushed the girls to mature.
I watched the anime first. I gotta he honest I thought the manga was moving to fast. The anime I felt had a little more time to do things like the second season between Lantis and Hikaru for example they had spent more time together and it seemed a little more naturally paced when it came to the romance aspect of it. That and i really liked the pink haired chick lol
...from what I see, Lantis is in love with Hikaru, Hikaru is in love with no one or likes both Lantis and Eagle, and Eagle is in love with lantis with a special like towards hikaru...Eagle is my fav!
