gosh that scene where picks up the phone for the Q&A is so creepy... wish it kept that mood throughout, instead of turning into a pretty standard shounen for the rest of the manga. that can be fun in its own way, but it had something special for a moment there I feel like.
I read Psyren at the ripe age of 12 in my middle school’s library and thought it was the best thing to ever grace my eyes, and now ten years later when I heard it was FINALLY getting an anime I decided to reread it. Just as good as I remember it being. My only complaint if I were to genuinely have one is that I wish the story went more in depth with the characters, but rushed endings seem to be a pretty common trend for shonen manga around this time. Anyways. Really solid. Will not shut up about this once the anime is out.
Ik this comment is about 5 years old, but I found out recently it got cut short because the mangaka was essentially forced by the publisher to wrap things up. It usually happens when mangas are slowly losing popularity and the publishers want to bring in something new.
I started but never finished reading this manga seven years ago when I was in middle school. I always wondered about the ending of this masterpiece, but was unable to remember the name of the series for the longest time. I spontaneously recalled "Psyren," and was finally able to finish reading this after almost a decade. In two days, nonetheless, lol. So elated!

This is getting an anime next yr (2026)!!
Had a lot of potential. Its just that it wasn't stretch enough? That's what I thought.
This was my experience too!

I'm pretty sure this was my first manga back in middle school. I'm surprised there isn't an adaptation for this classic.
