I liked this but I wanted Shino and Nakaya to stay together longer. I know Nakaya and Tenryuu didn't get along well enough for all three of them to live together but I wish Tenryuu would've at least waited until Nakaya left Shino on his own (I hoped Nakaya would eventually move to Canada to chase after Fuse and become a professional hockey player).
What really hurt me though is how that woman could deny Shino of his son for so many years. That's really fucked up.
Shino is a shitty father, his son disappeared, he seemed concerned but in the moment he saw tenryu he forgot about his son until the day he freaking reappeared. Nakaya is better off without him. And tenryu asking "can you give him up" Oh, fuck you, okay? Is his freaking father he doesn't need to give any fucking thing up. Family plotted my ass! He barely cared for his son, there where moments that they didn't saw each other for days. And seriously, your son goes missing and what you do? You fuck? Basically the writer used Nakaya whole existence just to create the drama they wanted, they weren't considerate enough to make it fine. and the end? You let him go but only went to see him after more than a whole fucking month? I would hate a father like Shino, wishing I'd never met him. I hate when parents put their lovers before their children, you don't put a human, a life in the world if you ain't willing to take proper care of them.
I agree that Shino is a crap father.. and that Ten fella... is just not likeable.. to me most of the manga is rushed and the characters have no substance especially Shino..I mean he is so 2 dimensional that it is hard to feel sympathetic to him.. as i got closer and closer to the end I really felt indifferent and perturbed about it.
It could have been so much better with the focus placed more on his son than him cuz he's dumb as his son told him straight...
Ten is too arrogant especially in the ending... I know this is a manga but in real life Ten would be missing Ten teeth for his behavoir....
It's irritating when a manga has good components but is never developed properly to invoke great emotions... this wasn't a comedy or slice of life .. it was just random ramblings that was forced to a conclusion
clap clap - well said. The son is the only likable character and he is 100 times more responsible than the father. He wasn't responsible with the mom or the son, putting himself first all the time. urg.. left a bad taste in my mouth...
I like how this has more of a family-like plot and doesn't just sell itself with the yaoi. One of the few shorter yaoi manga that I have read with a good story
I really don't get how so many people had a problem with Shino I mean really he was a HETRO it annoys me when people expect the uke to drop everything just to be with the Seme. Come on he'd just found out that he was a father after the only person he ever love passed away .Then he starts a job that's so far out of his comfort zone that he can barely handle it but he does it any way so he can provide for said son .Then we have two Seme's who demand his attention and affection while he's trying to make a home for the teenage son that he never knew he had . Damn that boy's mother making that kind of decision on her own even if she wasn't gonna marry him don't deny him his son until he's almost grown what's wrong with her . It's not like she hated Shino don't just decide on your own that boy needed his father too . And yes I did have a problem with the Seme he ended up with so what they were the same age I didn't like how he thought that the uke should just belong to him and only him even going so far as demanding the son give him his father who does that . Maybe if he had a better relationship with his own kid he could understand how Shino felt I just wish that Shino had a better choice in a partner other than theses two . The son I really didn't have a problem with him he was going through your above normal teenage drama it's manga so that's to be expected as for Fruse san I could care less that just seem to be thrown in there for extra drama I did like the younger Seme but he was all over the place so I knew Shino would end up with the other guy so yeah it was a alright read could have been better .
I agree wit h totally. The jerk in this manga was tenryuu. If u love someone u dont force them to choose, u dont force urself on them while they r in the hospital, u dont ask/demand that they choose u over family. I loved the way nakaya stood up to everyone. He is every bit the seme(watch out tenryuu). I wished more that the mangaka would have paired him up with his best friend instead of fuse. Nakaya is by far my favorite character! I hope he gets his own manga...with/without fuse. Funny, the teenager was more of an adult then the adults in this story. Oh yeah also if love someone u dont plow the shit out of them, not feed them & leave them in a weakened condition for the son to see.and just walk out-that bastard tenryuu! All in all good manga.
This lost me when I read that the son's going to have a sort-of-relationship with Fuse. Can't explain why it bothers me, but it's enough for me to say screw it and move on.
