Ocu-tab probably means octave, which is a full 8 notes up/down from the original note. it was probably put in there to compare hand sizes because people who can reach farther can play harder pieces meant for ppl with big hands ;(
I wish that I'd see a part where he's already a world class pianist and came back for the girl instead of "Came here today to meet you; but I'll have to leave again" because what I'm really hoping for is them being together for good in the ending! And for some reason, I see musicians as sad people or people with sad lives or so in real life and in fiction. I think (and I'd like to think) that in their case, they will be happy people. I dunno... maybe it's because I see some manga where the musician is sad or is coping with a loss, or is somewhat melancholy.
Rereading this again after oh so many years, there's only one difference...I want some BL relationships between the side characters. LOL!!!
Seriously, I read too many Yaoi for the past few years and is my daily need before I'm off to bed (crazy!!!). So rereading this again, with those boys arrrghhh..I'm having a fantasy in my own little bubbles. LOL! Here; first, I see that Oda-Sensei with Takami's 3rd Brother, Shin. Then, I see the Photographer with Takami's 2nd Brother (I forget his name, damn it). After some time, I see Kei with Takami's 3rd Brother instead lol and Oda-Sensei is with Takami's 1st Brother (Shun? Urghh forget again!). Daiki? I didn't think much, cause I see him as straight until I got to see him..the Takami's 4th Brother..with that crybaby Pianist, Julian. Oh lord~ forgive me for I have sinned..XDD
p/s - the owner of Blue Club? He can be with the world's Pianist, Akira's dad. Haha! I got my reasons ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
There it goes again! Study abroad!!! It's always like that! But... A person can't help but hope and wait, right? I'll end up thinking, "they'll meet again and accomplish their dreams... Moving forward... Together."
I loved this manga... Its a very different plot than the usual shoujo manga.. That start with 'guy meets girl..or love at first site'..this manga I felt was more realistic and less fictional... It's a must read (≧∀≦)
It was sort of a nice deviation from most shoujos I come across but it started to drag a lot and by chapter 20, became so predictable I just skipped to the final chapter. The reunion was pretty anticlimactic which I didn't mind but I was disappointed that the author didn't use the space to show a bit of character development, which I think is the purpose of a time skip in the first place otherwise, what's the point?
If I were careless in reading, I wouldn't have known any time had passed at all; the characters were the exact same as the beginning of the manga. Maybe the author should have fast forwarded more than 2 years, or maybe she should have chosen a different way to end it. Either way, the final third of this manga really let down the expectations I had from the beginning.

At least... At least show the part where he's the best and she's going to him, and them being together.
I got a little tired of the whole prodigious pianist thing. It just got really repetitive. It was still a cute story.
