I moderate a group chat on the LINE app for people interested in learning Mandarin. I was wondering if anyone wanted to join? We have things like a "word of the day", links to free resources online, chat in Mandarin as much as we're able, etc. We used to have classes as well using Discord but that stopped because the main teacher became busy. I'm the idiot reverse polyglot: spoke Filipino as a kid, lost it in my preteens when I learned Italian after emigrating, now as a young adult I'm speaking exclusively English in my university and daily life and I feel like I'm slowly losing my Italian aswell. It has ALWAYS been my dream to become a polyglot. But with my incredibly lazy and lack of energy in most things I do, learning 10 languages and more is REALLY going to be a challenge... sigh.

my main language is Indonesia, but i mastered both Korean and English. i also can speak Japanese but I'm not confident in it. In my country there are also 2 other languages that I also mastered, currently I'm learning spanish cause spanish sounds fun hahah. I can speak czech and polish, those are my native languages.. then I can speak slovak, english, russian, some of german and little bit of montenegrin, albanian because we are coming back there often..i’m learning hungarian now because I thought it’s difficult yet too interesting for me to ignore and I also enjoy budapest 1 reply
