In my opinion, why the bible did not mention other planets was because, God was focused on the creation of life and planet Earth. It wouldn't make sense why the bible all of a sudden started talking about the creation of other planets when God was gonna literally populate Earth and not a random planet. The bible is not supposed to be taken literally. It's was written by a bunch of men that even though they were inspired by God, God wouldn't explain everything to them because they wouldn't be able to understand. There are many symbolic parts, especially numerology, and some of them could've been inspired by other religions at the time.
