i'm a guy and i've been reading yaoi since...sometime in middle school? i think maybe 1st year, and i'm out of school now so about 8 or 9 years? lmao started reading when i thought i was straight and i really liked yaoi at that time, and then eventually realized i wasn't so straight and also started disliking a lot of yaoi bc how they portray male ......   2 reply

I'm a female, curious about similar thing but a bit more specific. I read a manga about fundanshi (male yaoi fans) and the main characters is a straight male. Now I'm curious, do straight guys read BL too? (And liking it?) I mean I identify myself as straight woman and sometimes I read yuri/shoujo ai. And some of them are good too (so far I stil......   2 reply

My ears are super sharp. From footsteps to breathing I can easily identify a person. That's a pretty random trait lol   3 reply

I really like both but probably would say that Junjou Romantica (especially the first plot arcs with Misaki and Usami / Hiroki and Nowaki) will always take first place in my heart. And the humor of Junjou Romantic is simply fantastic and is never really matched in Sekaiichi Hatsukoi. Also, as far as main characters go, I prefer Misaki. Onodera, f......   reply

How do you compare Apples to Oranges..you do not.. JR may seem lacking but that is only because it has more of the cute factor.. Mizaki is younger, less mature and still in school. However comparing how each is written JR is superior for its wit and charm. SH is centered around adults therefore the feeling of the series is the same and it excel......   reply

I prefer Sekaiichi Hatsukoi for a few simple reasons: the relationship between Takano and Onodera started off in a MUCH more healthy way than Usagi and Misaki. Does that mean I dislike Junjou? Not at all. But something about Usagi forcing himself on Misaki until he eventually "fell in love" and consented didn't sit right with me, especially during ......   1 reply

It depends on the mood I'm in. It's junjou if I need a laugh or slight slice of life feel full of heart. I read sekaiichi if I want a more mature and professional take on whatever is happening.   reply
