there is no difference, except homophobia vs misandry is hating the minority vs hating the majority. Both are wrong, ofc, but one seems.. significantly worse. Sometimes it’s internalized homophobia, some were just raised on a homophobic mindset, some people have traumatic experiences with same sex like what you said. first anime either than Pokemon and digimon was ouran high school. My sister walked in on one scene where the twins were doing their thing and she still brings it up to this day. That'd be called internalized homophobia. Usually it's turned inwards but can result in said person lashing out at people around him
