My first anime was To LOVE-Ru Darkness. At the time I didn't get some of the references in it, since I didn't realise it was actually the sequel to To LOVE-Ru at like 2 years later. -facepalms- The ecchi caught me off guard xD I remember loving the art style. My first manga was Ao Haru Ride, I watched the anime before the manga, but I loved it so m...... 1 reply
Well Im not interested in dating at this moment, but i understand how you feel. Im 17 so my family isnt pressuring about marriage or something, but one thing i wanted to say is that you shouldnt worry to much, you are still young and you will find your suitable partner who will accept you and your hobbies. Im in BL too, at first i was embarrassed a...... 1 reply
Dude same situation, except I am not interested in dating at all lol. And I, too probably would never ever give up yaoi just because someone doesn't like it, that just makes no sense. Plus if there's really a guy (or girl) that would be scared off because you love something, there's no way you'd be able to spend your life with that guy. (╬ ̄皿...... 2 reply
18 year old girl in Germany where no average person knows about manga or watching anime.
So it's kinda hard finding some people to talk about yaoi here ╥﹏╥ 2 reply
I think I read a shounen ai when I was already 11 or something like that, but I didn't really get it
I was just like "this is boring, it's just about guys and sports"
(Btw it was the manga "rin" I remembered when I saw it here again)

So this is outta sheer curiosity. I'm a 25 yr-old closeted fujo. Hetero in preference but pretty much asexual in practice. Live in a country where LGBTis frowned upon. At the age where peer and family pressures to go dating and marriage is frustratingly high but I've nvr even dated anyone seriously before. Now when I'm already addicted to BL, always have this worry that any man will be scared off if they knew this hobby of mine. I've also read ppl's experiences when they have to stop reading BL since their partners disagree. I dont think I can do that so I always avoid dating at all cost, but consequently ppl start questioning and even judging me the wrong way. On top of that, it's also hard making friends in RL since BL is the only thing im interested in lmao. What about you guys? Do you have similar experience? How d'you handle it?
16, Female, discovered yaoi when i was 12. I planned on quitting going into highschool but i just couldn't now my addiction is even stronger after that time period of not reading any. Its like a drug, i haaave to read it when i'm low on yaoi lol If i can't read it i imagine it , but no one knows i read it besides the internet ಠ_ಠ been reading t...... reply
My uncle gave me a sailor moon disc that was season 1-2 and i was (2004) 4, i grew up re-watching it and it never got old to me, my dad would get Naruto and Bleach CDs from my uncle and i'd watch them with him. So Naruto was my 2nd.
