Turn Into A Guy

I fell in love with my homie’s girlfriend. The girl mentioned a few times that she used to have a crush on me, but that at the time I was taken so she couldn’t act on it. Whenever we hangout she jokes about us being wives and herself being a better boyfriend than my ex. I slowly realized ‘shit I think I like her’ as we hung out more. But she was dating my best friend. They just now broke up though. I love my best friend, but he was not a good boyfriend and I kept selfishly thinking about treating her better than he did. I of course am not going to swoop in right away at all, but should I try to pursue it? Or does it go against bro code?
