uhm, no. a lot of lgbtq+ people here are actually very open about their sexuality but they get discriminated. A LOT. my country's really religous, like almost 90% of people here are Christians. besides that, "gay" and "lesbian" are actually used as slurs. Like for example, "Spiders arent that scary, stop being gay!". and the fact that it's normaliz......   reply

Yeah no , not really safe. They also feel pity on you Like– "She's a lesbian ?? But she's too pretty to be one" it really pisses me off. It is legal here tho.. but you get made fun of , judged or pitied.   1 reply

Why don't you go marry somewhere else and then come back to the States? Moving to a different country has pros and cons, and that needs to be evaluated for each country in your list. Some countries won't let you move there unless you have a job or plenty of money.   reply

People who are a part of lgbtq+ are y'all safe in your country? If not, are y'all planning to move out to a safer country or fight for your rights till the end?
Personally I wanna fight for my rights here but it's a very long way to go and I doubt I'll reach my goal in my lifetime. But at the same time I would feel super guilty about leaving my country to marry because it feels like I'm running away. Also apart from the anti-lgbtq atmosphere here, I actually love my culture a lot and it would be painful to leave everything. What about y'all? I just wanna relate.
