Saezuru tori wa habatakanai is also CRIMINALLY underhyped for its masterpiece of a plot and characterisation (plus Yakuza? Action? Slowburn? Yes please!!)
Another rly underrated one is one is Stigma! A dark, emotional but beautiful story about healing. Handles the subject of abuse rly well imo.

For me I feel like "Liar" is a good gem but it get a bad rep more than not having a lot of popularity.
Some readers don't like the fact that the main characters act so childish and don't communicate but I like it the most because it shows that even as an adult you are not necessarily wise and prone to be smart and calmly react to difficult situatio...... 1 reply
I don't believe in the whole "it's overrated/underrated" thingy. What's very popular might be popular for various reasons including: characters, plot, drawings, eventually smut because it's something most of people like (I don't, but I can read about it. I prefer partially drawn sexual scenes, though), setting, couples, etc.

TBH I don't believe in overhyped/overrated cause just because I don't like a story doesn't mean that people can't enjoy it. And naturally when people like something, they will hype it. I get it's annoying to see people hype something you don't enjoy but it's really not that deep. Just hype what you like as much and they do and move on with your lif...... reply
I love Shimanami Tasogare and Timeless melody. Both of those deserve more hype.
