Don't worry abt making the bottom too feminine as long as you aren't trying to make him "seem more like a bottom" or something and write him like you would any dude you should be fine. reply
ahm, i think you should avoid centering the uke's personality to being "feminine" (if that makes sense?). Make them a normal guy, yakno? What I mean is that, you should try to imagine the uke as an actual guy. Try not to use a girl's attitude or stereotype when writing the uke

I really want to write a mini bl novel but i have a question. How do you make bottoms not "girly". A common complaint in bl is that the bottom could literally be replaced by a girl and nothing would change. I just need some advice so i can avoid that trope. I also want to know what other cliches/tropes i should avoid while writing.
