I agree with you. Not just that but it always show the stereotype of a cartoonish gay man or a tough guy lesbian.
It's very triggering to see these stereotypes
not all gay men act like that
and not all lesbian women act like that
but as long as the story shows good LGBTQ+ Portrayal then it shouldn't be much of a bother

I think it's fine no matter what sexuality you are? That's like saying homosexual people can't read or write heterosexual stuff. Summary, I disagree. I think the problem is perhaps more with people bringing fetishization or stereotypes into the real world than the media itself. But respectful representation needs to exist in abundance!
