As a lesbian woman I think heterosexual people shouldn't write homosexual pornography (including yaoi/yuri). I see it as a form of cultural appropriation and disrespectful fetishization of homosexual individuals. I think that homosexuality should definitely be portrayed and consumed by heterosexual people in other forms of media, such as non-sexual comics, television, movies, etc. as long as it's respectful.

However, I recognize that this is an issue that concerns both heterosexual and homosexual individuals so I would love to hear the opinions of other homosexuals and heterosexuals.

p.s When I say homosexuals I also include bisexuals and pansexuals, since I think they can have authentic homosexual experiences. I would also love to hear some opinions from bi/pan folks since they have a unique perspective on the matter.

Pansexual is sexual orientation, male and female are genders/sexual identities. They are not apple to apple. But I get it with sexes or genders, but there's no need to validate your sexual orientation, if you believe you're pan instead of bi yeah you do you, some people see ir differently some people see it as the same thing, doesnt matter. There a......   reply

My sexual/romantic orientation discovery went like this: bi → pan → queer → ace → asexual demi-panromantic → queer (encompassing my gender, sexual and romantic orientations) I don't really have one definite preference between the prefix bi- or pan-. You could interpret bi as a sexual attraction to the same gender and to different genders......   reply

I have a controversial answer. Here's the thing about sexual orientations--you don't get to decide what is valid and what is not valid. Other people's orientations are not up for debate. My sexual orientation is not going to be a topic of discussion because there is nothing to discuss. You made an error with your second question. First of all, if y......   1 reply

Um.. it’s not something you choose. It’s something that you identify as, and it can always change depending on the person because everyone goes through shit in their life that awakens their inner gayness or straightness or whatever lol (idk what I’m saying at this point.) soo yeah.. just wanted to clear that up. Well anyways, I think I ident......   reply

this chart helped me because I was always confused on whether I was bi or pan because I liked all genders, but I liked people because they had feminine, masculine, or androgynous qualities, then I discovered I was Omni.   5 reply

I used to call myself bi but after learning about being pan I realized it fit me more and personally I think the definition of bisexuality is liking more than one gender may it be male and female and than pan sexuality is liking people no matter their gender, as a pansexual u don’t really care about genders.   reply

Bi means you attract on people in same sexuality as yourself - whatever you are - and at least one another sexuality. You could be a woman/trans and love transsexuals and women but not men or else so you are bi. Pan - which i consider my self one - is you love a person dispite their sexuality. You simply dont care, you might know or dont. And you ......   1 reply
