I see a lot of people especially on here ask why popular or new yaoi stories all include rape or some sort of abuse as a plot point, but its not really a new thing and has been around since the genre started. People have this false idea that it suddenly became popular now bc these kind of stories are marketed and pushed way more now by digital comics publishing companies like lenzhin to attract consumers - if a story contains violence , it is in our human nature to be curious about it. If these companies and authors see theres a demand they will pump out even more of such stories with no substance - and i am not talking ab stories whos purpose is to be sexually gratyfing , these ones dont take themselfs seriously either way - but ones who do but still fall into using shock value as a way to attract consumers. Its an easy and cheap way to make money but it also creates a false narrative for readers that these stories are something progressive that go againts the status quo by framing abuse but specifically sexual abuse as erotic - but this is how it always has been in society. Thats why I dont think these stories will normalize rape - it has been normal for as long as humanity exsisted but will further push the dangerous rethoric and desensitize people. These stories just feed the ego of people who have superiority complexes by making them think of themselfs as intellectuals - when in truth theres nothing in value in such media. That being said I wish we got actual good psychological stories or just stories who dont use rape as a catalyst for the character redemption or ignore the trauma the victim goes through and showcases how it can affect the said character life/personality. This is a nuanced topic and if something isnt clear i can elaborate :)

I've always separated fiction with reality.

Apparently, not everyone is able to do the same. For me, fiction is fiction. Deal with it. BL is not for everyone and will never be for everyone. That's why we separated shonen ai and Yaoi into two different genre. Saying that some works makes it hard for you to appreciate BL is kinda... idk, ironic? What do you mean, "appreciate BL"? What are you searching for in works involves two male kissing and fudging, your purpose of life? Make it make sense.

I suggest you butthurt moral polices mfs read something with shonen ai tag on it, so many masterpieces with moral value and less fudging (since a dash of abuse angered you so much). Ask and you shall be provided, just remember to separate fiction with reality.

Given the open opportunity of watching this movie in my aunt's house and the sheer ignorance of the residents.. I was able to actually watch this at last to silence my curiousity.

In the dance aspect, as a non dancer I can feel the rift, tension and different projection of passion from the leads. I also love the female partners of each. They have good chemistry in dance with the leads and are reasonable women. Really open to challenge and helpful to one another.
Romantically though, there is tension but the development of emotions felt random

When did you realize that you're becoming old?

I was wondering if I could find some work (not necessarily a paid one). I’m not a native english speaker but I have at least a C1 level, so I can do some legit corrections in texts, I also speak polish, ukrainian and russian, so translating into those languages is something I could do. but I don’t know where to look. maybe there are some teams out here that might need my help with mangas/manhwas? appreciate the help!

so i have been dating my bf for 6 years now and we wanna get married. my parents are happy and support our decision whereas his family will only allow it if i give up my identity i.e change my name to match their ethnicity, shift to their locality and totally integrate into their culture. no compromises. since this is a long standing tradition my bf is in favor of it but i am hesitant to do so bc i take great pride in the name my parents have given me, my culture and identity as a whole. what do you guys think i should do? would it really be worth it to give up my own sense of self for the sake of love?

The moment i got home after running away for one day, my life has become even more hell, they keep questioning me without even understanding me kept asking why took a selfish decision, the mother won't even thing about the fact that maybe my daughter might need time?
