It may be a generational thing. I feel as though the “living their firsts in their 20’s” is probably a largely millennial thing due to the difference in modern society over the last decade or two. Things have drastically changed for lgbt people in the last 5-10 years to the point where it might seem to be a lot easier for younger lgbt people ......   reply

I heard a lot that most of Lgbtq+ people are living their first (love, sex) experience in their 20s because of a (lack ?) of relationship with same gender people or because they hadn't define completly their sexuality yet

But most of the Lgbt people I know irl (male, female, nb) are not in this situation At All (no matter their sexuality, bi, pan, gay, lesbian and all)

So I was asking myself, does it's really the case for most of the Lgbt people ?
Or maybe the people I know are just super extrovert or something ?
(btw I'm a 17y/o nb)

Personally I prefer reading about non heterosexual couples and because GL isnt as big, I just read BL stuff. EXCEPT I will not read the fetishizing manga or anything with weird oversexualized and unhealthy vibes. I tend to prefer shounen ai since I don’t feel any interest in the sexual relation between men. Anything with nsfw I just scroll until ......   reply

I'm bi but I always wondered what makes me more into yaoi than yuri... I recently thought that the answer is that yaoi has more of a history and culture around it and yuri is sometimes too.... dramatic..? Like, the ones written by women I mean. Or maybe I just have higher standards with stories with women in them.. Shitty yaoi is in abundance but i......   1 reply

Fellow lesbian here, congrats we're not alone! We can have the vodka in celebration. I adore yaoi, but I think I enjoy it so much because of my sexuality. Heterosexual love stories are fine, but I don't think I can connect to them in the same way that I can to yaoi. With BL there's the element of nonacceptance that I unconsciously crave in a story......   2 reply
