Ah, I've seen some people like that. I joined a yaoi group recently and noticed that some members like to post pictures of hot guys/gay couples being all "omg what uke material" "who do u think is the uke/seme" and I just wonder what does that have to do with yaoi??? That actually depends on the peeps doe,because for me the reason why read yaoi is because...I got tired of the typical shoujo's the girl and boy meet for the first time and under some kind of stuff they suddenly in love yada yada yada I got pretty tired of it so yaoi opened it's doors for me but at least I know how to draw the line between reality ...... reply
Well in my case it works out bc I don't like girls in general, neither in shoujo nor in real life (in most cases) I just never understand why the guy would fall for the girl and even if the girl has a strong personality, then again I don't think girls look good at all.... Well, that's not always the case. I am aware that some (if not, most) of yaoi mangas portray unrealistic interaction between men that sometimes borderline female interaction. And I enjoy yaoi mainly because I've grown not to like most girls/women in shoujo mangas (no offense), and simply because some BL stories are just fascinating. It really depen...... reply
I became a fujoshi after I saw the term "yaoi" in a ad so I looked it up. I then thought that I should try it. I also decided to try yuri as well. If I hadn't discovered these I wouldn't have discovered my true self. I am now much more accepting of my sexuality because I learned with the help of yaoi and yuri that it was ok.
