First make it seen like its hopeless then give it a good ending but make the characters work for it reply
Like the others have said, it all depends on the context so it would be better if you provided more details. But normally speaking people like happy endings but open endings are good too - to show that finishing one chapter in life doesn’t mean it’s the end of all adventures and events in life. That life goes on despite good and bad things happ...... reply
