MOONLIGHT !!! my favorite movie, mlm. Love how despite the setting and the characters being the perfect setup for a #woke, cynical film (the story follows a black, gay man growing up with his drug addicted mother) its instead bittersweet and about love.
Carol is also very sweet, WLW. its got that same problem as CMBYN tho w a big age gap.

My fave lgbt movie is The handmaiden. Its a lesbian romance set in japanese occupied korea, a korean woman, soohke is hired as a handmaiden by a con man the trick lady hideko out of her money. Its very nsfw and full of great plot twists.

Hmmmm, not really lgbtq centered, but a movie I adore regardless is Tokyo Godfathers. One of the main chars is gay and trans (Hana). While it's not free of some underhanded gay jokes, it really captures her hardships well, and does her character justice. She feels like a real person to me. Not to mention the rest of the cast is interesting as well,...... reply
Honestly the only one I've really watched was Handsome Devil, but it's more acceptance of LGBT than two people in love. It was enjoyable though. Then again I can't say for sure cause I must've watched it about a year or so ago. reply
Same here, stopped watching movies for some time and in last few days I've watched ton of LGBT movies. I liked some, some not but these are names of ones I remember: call me by your name, the way he looks, the handmaiden, blue is the warmest color, method, two weddings and a funeral, love simon... There is a lot of them so hope u will find enjoyabl...... reply
