I am a 21 year old straight woman that has a super homophobic mom. Me and my mom have totally different opinions on the LGBTQ+ community and hopefully this helps to understand a little bit. I am for the record 100% pro LGBTQ+; Ie I am a "straight supporter". My mom thinks that being LGBTQ+ is a sin because sex is ONLY for producing babies so anyone......   1 reply

I would assume many religious people especially those who are believers in Jesus Christ and the whole Christian shibang shibang think that LGBTQ + is bad bc there is a passage in the Bible that says a man cannot lay down with a boy, so I would guess that they take it as oh gay relationships are bad. They don't really emphasize that pedophilia is th......   1 reply

I am asexual. I don't think LGBT+ is an abomination or a sin. I remember reading someone commenting somewhere a long time ago something along the lines of "that if god loves us all why would he make people gay just to make them suffer?" Some people think it's a sin because theoretically LGBT people *can't* have kids so them having sex is a sin sin......   1 reply

I've never been able to think of it as a sin cause when I was in kindergarten, a gay man came to our class and gave us a talk on how he was in love with a man and had a family. It just became normal to me after that. I never felt grossed out by same-sex relations. I would just be a bit surprised to hear coming out stories since it was still relati......   2 reply

I'm a lesbian and I've grown up in a really strict Christian place, too. Luckily, things have started to change more around here, but there are still families who kick their kids out and who tell them they're going to hell. I feel lucky that most of my friends and family are people who are more open minded, I also searched for more friends who were......   reply

I dont know if you've heard from the opinion of someone with a big Christian social group. I'm Australian, which already changes a lot of dynamics, and our country is fffairly liberal. We get the racist and homophobic shit dw, but good schooling focuses heavily.on acceptance and mental health and against discrimination. But I currently go to an ex......   1 reply

This is probably a topic where the pubic opinion is shaped by society. I personally am a uni student in Germany, where almost everyone is an atheist and pretty open-minded. Therefore you usually wont find anyone who openly discriminates against other people based on their sexuality or gender identity or those people find themselves shuned by everyo......   1 reply

(I put my answer in a reply textbox instead of the answer question box :c) My opinion on LGBTQ is that it is a sin to commit homosexual acts but that doesn't give people any right to discriminate them or take their rights. I am Christian too but people shouldn't harass the LGBTQ. It's hypocritical for Christians to harass or discriminate lesbians, ......   1 reply

I myself may not have many experiences in these aspects of life or many at all cause I never leave my home unless I absolutely must (Part of that is due to hating others for not accepting me being a tad different, ) But I think it's fine to love anyone Just like hobbies, talents or usual liking, You love what you love and if you don't like spagh......   1 reply
