Parliament fought their way in with the help of Korean citizens. I also read that he actually did this because he and his wife are facing corruption allegations, and he was already facing impeachment. reply

The parliament voted 190-0, so the president has no choice but to lift martial law. If he doesn’t, the Assembly can accuse him of wrongdoing and start the impeachment process. Then they’d vote, and if two-thirds agree, he’s out.

I'm so confused because his excuse is that North Korea is acting up but i haven't found a single thing that actually explains what NK are doing, how, when, or why martial law was the "logical choice". It sounds like nonsense no matter what article i read 1 reply
